A certain purple-skinned alien was getting the hang of the new, sky-sent sort of abode's layout - doors were leading to interesting new places inside, some filled with more grey-looking decorative objects, others enlightened by colorful sparkles or wires of all kinds. She had been scouting the wreck out for a few days now after its arrival on her homeplanet, not once having ran into anyone else aboard it. However, having seen someone else was a whole different aspect.

She had spotted this blue, odd-looking creature who came with this wreck, but not once had she made her presence known to them. Truth be told, she was a bit intimidated by whatever he or she or it was, as they wore this excessively protective armor of some sort that concealed most of their features - she couldnt even observe their body language from afar all that much.

Despite her initial strong fear mixed with curiosity, the desire to uncover more secrets topped all the other blurred feelings as if they were nothing but hurdles to be overcame in her quest. It felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity to be around this unknown enclosure and the unknown person, as it wasnt daily that the sky gifted her people with things other than edible birds or rain.

Something she hadnt anticipated, however, was just how far her impulse to explore would take her. Feeling as if her interests were frowned upon in her tribe, frowned upon by her friends and family, and frowned upon when put next to "regular chores", venturing further was not a difficult choice to make, albeit seeing the metal bird fly back up was definitely another thing she hadnt anticipated.

Nor had being on it at the moment it would fly away.

Terrifying, thunder-like sounds had suddenly been heard and Bluberion dropped whatever piece of junk she was tinkering with in a back room in the moment, then promptly dropped herself as well when the bird took off - not holding onto anything at all causing her to roll like an empty barrel down a hill, across the smooth surface of the floor. She only stopped thanks to some crates, against which she ended up upside down, sword sheath uncomfortably pinched against her side, tailtip slapped against her nose.

Several moments of panic later, once the speed of the ship had became content, she could finally gather herself back together and realize just what happened: the metal bird really did fly off. With her in it. She so forgot to give her family a heads up for this trip. Was it even going to be a trip?? Would the bird drop her off ever again?? Maybe as long as there were plenty sights to be seen, she'd be kept too busy to think back on this and be bitten by regret.

But flying... she needed proof. Sneaking off to the closest window to gaze through, she was left speechless at the immense abyss surrounding her - various sparkles and specks of color or light far away to keep her company. It was like a scene from the shamans' stories, after they claimed to have visited the dead and talked to them, or were revealed deep secrets of the world from the spirits. Did that mean she was dead as well? Or in the gone's realm? The sky from her home didnt look like this.. maybe at night? But no, it was still like a purple, almost transparent veil of stars, not this darkness.

Across the next couple of days, after going through several existential crises and freak-outs yet somehow hadnt had run into the other two-legged creature she had seen (was two-legged even a good term? from memory, they had like...at least two more, yeah), hunger finally struck and she found herself being reminded that she had been basically stranded in this room with lights and wires and odd rotating things that blew air through (it had been more entertaining in the first few hours than it was now) without any other stuff. Maybe it was time to do something else than sneak around the place and pull things apart only to learn how to place them back again well, and look for something edible?

Slightly lowering herself to be able to sneak like some thief around, the soft pads on the bottom of her feet already making her steps silent, Bluberion crept down the halls, trying to sniff out in the air any hint of food (hopefully meat, but who knows what the heck this metal bird had for her). She kept going, until coming to the sight of a taller frame shifting behind the small, round window of a thin door. It looked a lot like the stranger seen on her planet, and she figured by now that he'd be on the thing he crashed with, obviously. She just hoped they could casually not come into contact until she knew more of what this all was. But then, when she tried to turn to take a different path and sneak off, a loud, horrible explosion sound happened and all she knew was that the floor and the walls were fricking shaking again, and she almost lost her balance once more too if it hadnt been for grabbing some sort of metal tube to hold onto (learning from mistakes).

However, that was not the end of it, and a high-pitched screeching resonated through the halls, red lights flickering across the roof. Well, now she was positively horrified and her sidecols were changing colors like crazy, as usual in such intense moments. Her purple skin had progressively gone lighter and lighter in color out of fear and with the whole shaking she struggled to cover her ears to try to block out the pterodactyl-like sounds.

The cherry on top was when suddenly she felt really light, or as if the air was lifting her?? Her pawpads were no longer touching the cold floor and if the weird happening started out as a slow process, then after mere seconds she was literally up in the air, struggling to regain control of her position and direction and just becoming increasingly disoriented the more she was on the ship. Her head accidentally hit the roof and she kicked at the surface in defense, which only pushed her faster towards one of the windows, making her body create a 'thump' as it went against it, then tried pushing herself away from that too. It was a literal nightmare. She should have stayed home in the first place, damn warrior courting her was right when he was trying to convince her to stay with him rather than go off in the jungle. pageview supervisor_account note

It had been a good feel Cycle the one he spent in the savage planet. Tu’veon, it was called, it circled a fairly new star and it was far enough away from any space faring species’ colony that Ya’akov had felt relatively safe for a while. The inhabitants were sapient, but they were backwards, a tribal kind of creature that had yet to figure out how to harness eletricity, it would take centcycles for them to even get close to space exploration.

It was a simple, if boring life. There were no Borsh or anything like any of the cattle animals from Taluvan, but there was furry creatures that had meat he could eat if he cooked it well enough, there was fresh water. The only issue was that the planet had too much oxygen and too little ammonia in the air. The Air cycling system in his ship worked though, so all he had to do was take breaks or explore the planet fully suited. He chose the later most of the time.

It was damn lonely, but Ya’akov would survive. He made a point of staying away from the natives, he didn’t need the weird things asking questions he couldn’t answer because they lacked basic quantum mechanics knowledge.

Surprisingly though, a cycle passed and he didn’t interact with the natives at all. He saw a few rounding the area, probably curious about the spaceship, but none had the courage to approach. Ya’akov was considering stayed longer, perhaps a few more subcycles, perhaps one more season, maybe even another cycle, until the Kris’isish forgot him and he could start raiding their slaver ships again.

But then the ships appeared, He had to leave in a hurry, there was not even time to check if he had enough supplies. The Kris’isish found him, and Ya’akov run away.

It was frantic, checking fuel levels, checking ration levels. Trying to cloak his ship from sensors when the systems weren’t made for that at all was an almost impossible task. Ther enemy ships didn’t give up, they were too persistent and Ya’akov was thinking he’d have to make a detour near a supernova star and try to fry their sensors. The issue was that it would fry his own sensors as well.

Before he could make a decision, however. It was taken from his hands. There was an impact, the whole ship shook with the force and the mauve lights started blinking warnings everywhere. Ya’akov tried stabilizing what he could, but then he felt light, his feet left the floor and he was pulled upwards like he was full of hot air. Ya’akov cursed in his local dialect as the ship controls got out of his grasp and he was helplessly but gently nudged to the other side of the control room.

Bluberion was desperately trying to hold onto something, anything that would keep her in place and help her get down from the air. She grasped the edges of a round window, claws helping her fingers not slip off the smooth surface, as did her slim fingerpads. What was perceived as a blinding light illuminated the window, a fire of some sort that looked like it had swallowed all the darkness outside with it, and it was so terrifying that the alien was startled, hands slipping off the window quickly. She floated away from the glass before the fire could vanish, shielding her eyes with her hands in panic.

She was convinced, by now, that this was her ancestors and her tribe's deceased who were punishing her for leaving. They were injuring the big metal thing so it would crash and bring the alien to her death. Would the spirits scold her when she became one of them?? An awful thought which shook her to the bone.

Everything was going wrong, from the air that became stronger, able to lift her, to the explosions outside and all the alarming noises and lights around and Bluberion's heart rate was going like crazy.

Another blast that shook the ship was received, and this time all lights flickered for some moments, as if the place was haunted. Then, a huge frame passed by the window, like a monster of the abyss lurking to bite a chunk out of the metal bird and the alien herself. Was it circling them? Was it passing them? How should she know??

In truth, it was putting some space between them and the ship, but the reasons werent accessible to her.

The lights everywhere flickered once more, and in the brief moments of dark, all could be seen were her cols frantically changing colors all across her neck and back.

Then, no more hits were taken, no more sudden shaking, just the ship suffering from the previous attack. pageview supervisor_account note

It took a lot of maneuvering and a great deal of luck before he was able to lose the enemy ship. Space was vast, how they found him was anyone’s guess, but with the ship blinking like it was someone’s hatching day, he needed to find somewhere to land fast, or either the ship would break in the middle of the void or the enemies would track him again.

It took several moments for him to plot a course to the nearest habitable planet. An alien homeworld he hadn’t been to before, the humans were described as neutral if slightly xenophobic, he was sure they’d let him drop by just long enough to get his ship fixed, right? Maybe a bit longer till the kris’isish ships left him alone.

Once the course was plotted and the autopilot engaged, Ya’akov’s next mission would be fix the ship enough so it wouldn’t blow up or suffocate him in the middle of the way. Another challenge was to get there while the gravity systems were off. But look on the bright side, it wasn’t the ventilation system! He wouldn’t suffocate.

It was very odd to try and swim in air. More difficult than doing so in water, and he bonked his head several times at the ceiling while he exited the control husk, floating without control, grabbing into whatever he could with his arms and he was so grateful there was nobody there to see this ridiculousness.

It couldnt get any worse than literally almost blowing up qith the ship now, could it? Of course it could. Except, this time, there was no extra shaking nor bonus lights to go off, but a creature out of her world.

The creature.

Big, red eyes that looked like someone was hungry, so many?? extra?? limbs?? what did he need all of them for? For easily capturing creatures like herself, most likely. He didnt even have any fingers or fur! What an oddity. If he wasnt floating like herself, Bluberion would most likely also be intimidated by his height, no doubt. And were those fingers popping out of his hair?

Blu gathered her legs to her chest in the air, accidentally causing herself to rotate before she spread out again trying to stop, and tried reaching for the sword in the leather holder on her back, to keep it extended towards the unknown and surely hostile other creature, just in case he tried lunging at her.

She was currently belly up in air, looking at the individual upside down and awkwardly trying to hold onto her sword in his direction. pageview supervisor_account note

Nobody there to see him this ridiculousness. And as soon as he thought that, from the corner of his eye he saw…. Something. A person shaped something. Kinda. He stared at the…. Creature…. Thing…. Alien…. The shape was familiar enough but he had never seen one so close. She had purplish skin, long dark hair, odd white eyes and a long…. Appendage… thing…. Coming out of her (was it a her?) butt.

The creatures turned into a ball and comically rolled around in air. With the ship gravity broken, there wasn’t much either of them could do, but ya’akov hissed in his mother language “how did YOU get here!? Who- what are you?” If it wasn’t for universal translators, most would say the rakhtish only made strange clicks and hisses. He moved his antennae in a surprise/wariness gesture. Any rakhtish would know immediately he was one step away from feeling threatened. Unfortunately the alien was not a rakhtish.

No but seriously, how did this alien get into his ship??? As if he didn’t have enough issues.

What was he doing!! He was just standing there, holding his ground so far and Bluberion didn't know what he was going to do next. She kept her sword pointed in his direction, with both hands on the holder, in a stance that made her wariness of him obvious, she didn't look threatening, but more like ready to defend herself. Her tail also kept flicking around to help with balance in air.

What's more, she didn't even realize he was trying to communicate with her. His clicks went almost unnoticed, they just seemed like some noises the ship would make? How was she supposed to get that? Besides, she didn't know his language either, so it was definitely just floor creeks or whatever. Maybe the window sill made noises, who knows.

His antennae though, the gestures were similar to the ones Bluberion's kind made with their ears - strangely enough, so much of the universe's body language matched in similarity that it was almost as if that was the only true universal communication way. Few exceptions being those even weirder aliens who had random and different gestures for basics. But funnily enough, Blu suspected his weird head fingers betrayed feelings of uncertainty. Wait. So he wasn't straight-up hostile? But..but she saw him carry critters from her planet into this cage, dead critters like a predator, and a predator must always display hostility or dominance towards strangers. It was just how hierarchy was established in the world. This was odd.

The alien's cols began blinking a curious yet cautious yellow, starting pale then progressively becoming more intense and then reverting back as if the colors breathed on her neck. Her slit eyes widened, observing the creature in detail. And look at that, he had no tail, what a weirdo.

Oh, oh, what? She suddenly realized he was making some odd sounds and it wasnt the metal cage sinking with them in the abyss. That hissing definitely came from him- why the heck was he hissing at her?? Did he want to fight?? He didn't seem to wield a weapon, but he also had an unnecessarily big number of arms, which puzzled the purple alien. She tilted her head in confusion at him, hair sliding off her shoulders and exposing her colorful dots. "What? Stand back, hisser!" She tried to say, but not knowing his weird clicky tongue, she only spoke in her own, which was made out of low rumbles and muffled growls, very feline-like if you asked a human, combined with the wrinkling of her nose and narrowing of her eyes. Of course, it wasn't all odd growling, she actually seemed to articulate some words as well, but they didn't resemble any other tongue, and they were heavily reliant on the vibrations in her throat and chest.

From flailing her sword, trying to keep her balance, and moving her tail, she floated upwards again and lightly hit the roof with a thud, hunching annoyed and reaching to hold onto a metal bar for stability.
