Corrie was a little put out. It was rare for her to be with late in the evening and to be without a client. Perhaps her string of good luck was due to the fact that she was so new to the Quartz and that she was so young (and if you asked her the most beautiful). And while she supposed if she truly needed company, she could go back to her room with her cat but Jules was hardly a good replacement for a male body. No, she was simply going to have to wait at the bar, looking pretty and pouty and hope that some eager man would notice her.

In order to attract more attention, her skirt was a tad shorter than she normally liked, showing off her naturally long legs, and her top was bit tighter and neckline lower. Of course, she was not looking trashy. No, she had more taste and self-respect than that, but her black ensemble was worn to entice, all the way down to her spiky heels as she sat on the bar to wait. Her drink? At the moment sparkling water but she had hopes for better, assuming she could catch the eye of a client and they were willing to get her a drink. Of course, she wouldn't say no to a free drink from someone that was taking pity on her. She would take pity if it got her what she wanted.

Hell, she'd even take a conversationalist partner at this point. She was told that she was very good at listening. Plus, who knows. A simple conversation could easily turn into something more, given the right amount of charm and allure, both of which she had plenty. She gave an amused and naughty smirk at what sort of charms and allurements she could use on some poor sod, or rather some rich sod. Poor sod generally did not come here, and she wasn't interested unless they could paid. Her time and body were not free for the taking after all.

Your skin is a canvas
It was late, his shift was over, and Harper Mann needed a stiff drink and a good lay. He’d been saving up his money for a while to spend at the Rose Quartz. Someone would want it, and he didn’t really care who. The violet was not one to really care about whose legs he found himself between. Life in general wasn’t a worry. His had been horrible from day one, his only break being the Silver which haired him to work the tattoo parlor he now had. Harper thought of it as his, even though it wasn’t.

The bar was inviting. He walked to the lavish looking bar and let his eyes wander about. He wasn’t looking for anyone in particular, but just wanted to take in the scene. Just because he put ink onto people’s skin didn’t mean he wasn’t a true artist. Harper loved taking in different scenes and sketching when he could. In fact he always carried around a sketch book in case he found something he liked.

His eyes fell on a blonde woman sitting at the bar, as though she was waiting to be noticed. The look on her face, and the expressions, begged him to draw her. Harper waved down the bartender and order a whiskey. He set the book down and pulled out his pencil. Harper studied the face, her body, they way she sat in the stool and began to draw.

It was an odd thing, but if he never met her beyond what he was doing, Harper would have captured this moment. This is what he loved about his art. Moments could be set for eternity. He loved it, and found it kept his muse alive. Harper couldn’t stop looking at her. He knew he would get her attention if he couldn’t stop, but she had him locked into her spell.

The bartender walked over to Cornelia and pointed Harper out. He’d been found out. Closing his book he sighed then took a drink. Was she going to be upset that she’d been used as a model without her knowledge?

HARPER MANN
While she was sitting at the bar, waiting for someone to notice her, she'd settle for any reason at this point, she kept her eye fixed on the door. Not because she was waiting for anyone in particular but in hopes that someone would catch her eye, and she could catch theirs as well. And someone did catch her attention, though he did not seem to be necessarily well off. But hopefully he had enough money to make her attention worth her while, and his as well if he were luckily. She could see that his arms had a few tattoos, and that intrigued her to no end. So she silently nodded at him so the bartender could suss him out for her.

But she didn't want to make her interest in him quite so obvious, so she turned her attention to her sparkling water, while surreptitiously eyeing him out of the corner of her eye. Her brow curved up in interest when she noticed that he was watching her, a brow that raised further when she saw him take out a small book and pencil. It looked as though he were an artist and she was his current muse. Which of course, flattered her quite a bit. She glanced again at the bartender, who came over to her and quietly asked if it was okay that the strange man was drawing her, confirming her suspicions that she was his model. She smirked and answered that she was perfectly fine with it, silently adding, particularly if he took it to her room.

So she finished her water and sauntered over to him, eyebrow still arched as she took him in. He seemed to be a few inches taller than her and seemed to have decent amount of muscle. ”I see that I've gotten your attention, stranger.” Her tone was extremely flirtatious. ”Am I a good study for you?”

Your skin is a canvas
She moved. Dammit. The scene had been set perfectly. The way she had been sitting and studying her drink, the lighting, the contrast of the bar, it was all perfect. He sighed. She was a good face to draw, but the moment had been what he wanted to capture. Perhaps he had gotten enough it that he could fill in the colors later.

He looked to the sketch and grinned. The look on her face had been caught, and that was enough to fill in the rest. Life was good.

"I like to capture moments, and you... uh... were caught living one I wanted to immortalize."

It was the response of an artist that knew what his work was to him. Others might not appreciate his perspective, but that wasn't the point. He captured what he wanted, collected it, sold it for the right price if it suited him. This was how he made a little extra spending money beyond the work he did for the owner of his tattoo parlor.

Harper couldn't help but let his eyes wander over the blonde. The shape of her face wasn't the only thing he found perfect. She would make a great model for any artist lucky enough to have her pose. Perhaps there was another scene or moment he could capture. Harper didn't mind putting money down to get what he wanted if the art was good enough.

"So what was with the long face," he said showing her the partial sketch, "Waiting for someone that turned out to be a no show? Who would want to stand up a gorgeous little thing like yourself?"

Harper grinned. He was certainly on the prowl, and flattery was going to be his weapon. She seemed to want the attention anyway.
